A Small Collection of Eastern European Typography
This is a small photobook I created during my Erasmus semester at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. The book documents interesting examples of typography on signage I discovered whilst travelling across Eastern Europe. It contains examples from Bratislava, Banská Bystrica, Štrba, Liptovský Mikuláš and Budapest. A lot of the signs are ghost signs and many will possibly disappear in the foreseeable future. Some of them remind us of a bygone aesthetic and era.
